The Sikeston girls basketball team won a 46-44 thriller against visiting Oran on Wednesday.

It was a tale of two halves for both clubs. In the first half, Sikeston used a 13-0 run in the second quarter to enjoy a 32-16 halftime lead. In the second half, Oran caught fire from the 3-point line, as the Lady Eagles hit on five treys to have a chance to win at the end.

A 3-pointer at the buzzer by Erica Michelsen fell short and Sikeston held on. Michelsen led Oran (10-8) with 15 points. Tiffany Glastetter added 14 points and Wendy Eftink chipped in with 10 points.
