Notre Dame led 13-10 after the first quarter and took a 34-29 advantage into halftime, but was outscored 16-8 in the third as the Braves rallied to lead 45-42 going into the final period...

Notre Dame led 13-10 after the first quarter and took a 34-29 advantage into halftime, but was outscored 16-8 in the third as the Braves rallied to lead 45-42 going into the final period.

Adam Obermiller led the way for Notre Dame, pouring in 22 points. Chris Dirnberger added 15 and Jonathon Ressel followed with 10.

Jreece Johnson posted a game-high 31 points for the Braves, while Todd Blissett added 15.

Advance 49, Woodland 47

WOODLAND -- Garrett Broshuis cooly sank a pair of free throws with two seconds left as the Advance Hornets, ranked second in Class 2A, broke a late tie against a game Woodland squad.

Advance (17-3) was tied with Woodland 47-47 when Broshuis, the Hornets' lone double-figure scorer with 25 points, was fouled.

Woodland (9-9) was leading Advance by seven points with six minutes to go, but couldn't hold on.

"We turned the ball over, which hurt us," said Woodland coach Jennings Wilkinson. "We kept it close the whole way. We can be pretty good when we play like we did tonight, though."

Jason Greer led the way for the Cardinals, scoring 13 points, while C.W. Stacey and Jared Houchins added 12 points apiece.

Advance led 26-24 at halftime, but Woodland outscored the Hornets 16-8 in the third quarter to take a 40-34 lead into the final period.

Scott City 78, Kelly 68

BENTON -- Scott City won its 14th straight game and completed its third consecutive undefeated season in the Scott-Mississippi Conference with a victory over rival Kelly.

David Enderle and Ronald Watson each scored 21 points for Scott City (20-1), the top-ranked team in Class 2A. Ryan Weatherspoon added 18 points for the Rams.

"They double and triple teamed Weatherspoon and David Enderle took advantage," said Scott City coach Derek McCord.

The Rams pulled away in the second half after a virtual stalemate over the first 16 minutes. Scott City led 14-13 after one quarter and 36-34 at halftime. Scott City outscored Kelly 24-17 in the third quarter to take a 60-51 lead into the final period.

Jeremy Skelton scored a game-high 24 points for Kelly and Jamie Essner was right behind with 22. Josh Glastetter added 10 points.

St. Vincent 63, St. Pius 51

PERRYVILLE -- St. Vincent limited St. Pius to just 16 points in the first half as it improved to 12-5 on the season.

The Indians improved to 6-2 in Jefferson County Conference play and 4-0 in the small-school division.

"It was another great defensive game until the fourth quarter," said St. Vincent coach Bruce Valleroy.

St. Vincent led 29-16 at halftime and upped its advantage to 46-28 by the start of the fourth quarter.

Ryan Prost led St. Vincent with 17 points and Justin Amschler added 15.

J.P. Jercinovic and Joe Buehler each scored 13 points for St. Pius.

Crystal City 77, Perryville 64

CRYSTAL CITY -- Crystal City broke out to a 19-11 lead in the first quarter and stayed out in front of the Pirates for the remainder of the game.

Ryan Wichern paced Perryville (5-15 overall, 2-6 Jefferson Co. Conference) with 22 points. Bernie Reihn added 12 points and Thomas Barber and Kyle Abernathy each finished with 11.

Crystal City led 37-31 at halftime and took a 53-44 lead into the fourth quarter.

Leopold 58, Chaffee 47

CHAFFEE -- Leopold continued its winning ways with a victory over Chaffee on Tuesday, after claiming the Zalma Tournament Title on Saturday.

The Wildcats were led in scoring by Ashton James, who scored 19 points. Adam Horrell added 12 points and Daniel Schaab notched 11.

Chaffee kept things close early. Leopold led 11-10 after the first quarter and 26-22 going into halftime, but steadily pulled away down the stretch.

Chaffee's Chase Eskew scored a game-high 21 points including five 3-pointers while Perry Rice netted 14 points.

Oran 73, Richland 64

RICHLAND -- Philip Seyer scored 22 points, Travis Friga had 17 and Ryne Woods added 15 to help the Eagles earn a win over Richland.

"We got down by 10 points in the first quarter," said Oran coach Larry Boshell. "Ryne hit a couple of big 3-pointers to get us back to even it late in the second quarter"

Oran (11-7) won despite Richland's Sharome Cole pouring in 29 points. Fifteen of Cole's points came at the free-throw line.

Oak Ridge 81, Meadow Heights 61

OAK RIDGE -- Ben Fadler netted a game-high 23 points to lead Oak Ridge past Meadow Heights.

Beau Morrison added 17 points and Ryan Thomas finished with 10 for Oak Ridge (5-11).

The Blue Jays jumped out to a 24-14 lead in the first quarter, led 46-39 at the break and outscored the Panthers 35-22 in the second half.

Josh Mayfield and Troy Hayes recorded 18 points apiece for Meadow Heights, while Cody Thompson added 14.
