Notre Dame eases past St. Vincent

Notre Dame improved to 9-1 as it routed visiting St. Vincent on Thursday night.

The Bulldogs led 27-10 after one quarter and held a commanding 48-20 lead by halftime.

"We shot ball pretty well the first half," Notre Dame coach Paul Hale said.

Ty Williams and Ryan Willen paced the Bulldogs with 18 points apiece. Austin Greer and John Unterreiner each added 11 points.

Chris Wengert netted a team-high 12 points for St. Vincent (3-3), while Josh Rollet added 10.

Lady Royals Classic

Kelly advanced to the Lady Royals Classic finals with a 67-54 victory over No. 9 seed Twin Rivers.

The Hawks used a 22-point second quarter to forge a 32-25 halftime lead and held on for the win. Brittany Ponder led the Hawks with 19 points, Debra Hall had 14 and Katee Moore added 12.

Kelly (7-1) will play Dexter in the finals at 7:30 tonight.

Delta finished its pre-Christmas schedule undefeated with a home victory over Chaffee.

Kacie Menz scored a game-high 22 points for Kelly, which improved to 7-0.

Delta returns to action Jan. 3 in its own New Year's tournament. The Bobcats are the top seed and will play the Woodland-Chaffee winner in the semifinals.
