ST. LOUIS -- Jackson's softball team went 1-3 in the Cor Jesu Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

After losing the first three games, the Lady Indians clobbered Rosary 17-0 on Saturday.

Beth Becker picked up the win for Jackson (2-4) in the three-inning affair. She allowed four hits.

Jackson pounded out 12 hits, including 3-for-3 performances from Megan Kuntze and Heide Jansen.

Cherish Tillman deposited a homer over the fence in going 2-for-2 and Amanda Bollinger went 2-for-3 with four runs batted in.

Earlier on Saturday, Jackson suffered a 1-0 loss to Cor Jesu.

Gretchen King was the losing pitcher, giving up five hits and three walks while striking out two.

Jackson missed out on an opportunity in the fifth when a Cor Jesu player made a shoe-string catch with two outs to strand runners at second and third.

On Friday, Jackson lost its first game to Lindberg 6-2, then fell to Blue Springs of Kansas City 3-0.

Against Lindberg, Becker suffered the loss, though only two of the six runs scored against her were earned. Jackson committed four errors. Becker gave up nine hits.

Tillman went 2-for-3.

Against Blue Springs, King suffered the loss, giving up three runs (one earned) on five hits.

Amanda Bollinger provided Jackson's lone hit.

Jackson will begin conference play Tuesday at Kelly.
