Senior Casey Hotop fired a no-hitter to help Perryville defeat crosstown rival St. Vincent 8-0 in softball action Tuesday.

Hotop struck out four and walked three over seven innings.

Morgan Baer led the offense with a 4-for-4 performance, including a double and two RBIs. Kelcie Fahnestock also had a double and two RBIs. Alexis Sutterer added two RBIs.

Perryville (11-6) finished with 12 hits.

Julia Weber added four kills and three blocks, while Kelsey McDowell chipped in eight assists and three digs for the Indians (12-9-1).

The Tigers swept the visiting Eagles behind eight kills from Libby Hulcy.

Hannah Self put up seven digs, while Tori Scheller finished with 15 assists for Central (6-13-2).

Katie Taylor and Katie Mattingly both recorded three kills in the road win.

Addie Hotop finished with 12 assists, while Miranda Unterreiner had three aces for St. Vincent (11-5-1).

The Pirates improved to 19-2 with a home sweep.

Shea Leible led Perryville with six kills, while Kristen Triller and Alex Spears both had five kills. Spears also had three blocks

The Rams improved to 13-0 with a road sweep.

Mikah Simpson recorded 10 service aces, while Katie Hogan hammered eight kills on eight hits for the Rams.

Sydney Short finished with 17 assists in the win.

The Indians scored with 16 seconds left in the first half in the road victory.

Jackson added an insurance goal with 10 minutes left in the game.

Central fell to 1-6.

Logan Buchheit scored a goal and assisted on another one in the Bulldogs' road win.

Aaron Arnzen and Jonathan Lynch also scored for Notre Dame (6-3).

Matt Ponder earned two assists.

James Holloway finished with five saves for the shutout.

"We played well in stretches and not as well in other stretches," Notre Dame coach Brad Wittenborn said.

The game was scoreless at halftime.

Oak Ridge Invitational

The Scott City boys team grabbed three of the top 10 spots, including Brandon Shemonia's victory, to lead the Rams to the team title.

Eric Essner crossed fifth, while Luke Keesee was eighth.

Oak Ridge's Ethan Seyer took second, while teammate Corvin Schoen was third to help the Blue Jays take fourth.

Oak Ridge's McKenzie Elam was third, while St. Vincent's Laura Steele was sixth in the girls race.

Notre Dame's Keira Soutar shot a 45 to earn the medalist honor in a dual meet at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Morgan Schumer followed with a 47, Mattie Beussink shot 51 and Camille Brewer carded a 54 for the Bulldogs.

Notre Dame (8-2) will compete in a meet Thursday at Farmington before the Class 1 District 2 meet Sept. 29 in Moberly, Mo.
