Drew Reischman had a home run, a double and drove in three runs as the Oran baseball team upended state-ranked and defending Class 1 state champion and district nemesis Bell City 5-3 on Monday in Oran, Missouri.

Preston Hahn picked up the win on the mound for the Eagles, who improved to 12-8 with the win. He pitched four innings, during which he allowed three runs (one earned) on six hits. He tallied four strikeouts and one walk.

Bobby Wright pitched a complete game and took the loss for Bell City, which fell to 16-3. He gave up one earned run and recorded seven strikeouts and three walked batters.

Austin Hicks doubled twice and batted in one run for the Cubs, who last saw the field on April 28.

The two teams could meet again in the final of the Class 1 District 2 Tournament, where the Cubs are the top seed and the Eagles are seeded second. District tournament action begins Saturday.

Austin Bailey hit two doubles and drove in two runs to lead the Hornets in the five-inning rout of the visiting Braves in the district preview.

Michael Hood was the winning pitcher. He threw three innings and allowed five runs (two earned) on four hits. He had two strikeouts and walked three batters. Brandon Sokolowski pitched the final two innings to get the save, giving up no runs, one hit and one strikeout.

C.J. Seger added a double and two RBIs for Advance (5-16).

Hutcheson sustained the loss on the mound. He pitched two innings and allowed six runs (five earned) on seven hits. He had two strikeouts and walked one batter.

Jeffery Porter had a double and batted in three runs to pace Scott County Central (6-6).

The two teams will face each other again in the opening round of the Class 1 District 2 Tournament, hosted by the fourth-seeded Hornets.

Maegan Walker netted the game-winning goal off a penalty kick as the host Hawks wrapped up the regular season on a high note with a double-overtime victory over the Owls.

Lynsey Powers scored the first goal off an assist from Marrisa Jones for Kelly (13-11).

Goalkeeper Tori Duenne had 20 saves for the Hawks.

Katelin Voegtle had the lone goal for Windsor (12-5-1) on an assist from Calli Robertson.

Goalkeeper Kylie Gmerek made 11 saves for the Owls.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Notre Dame 25 25, Chaminade 13 23

Blake Dunlap recorded eight kills, seven assists and 20 digs to lead the Bulldogs in the sweep of the Red Devils at home.

Evan Landewee tallied five kills and 11 assists for Notre Dame (13-12). Hunter Tucker also had five kills for the Bulldogs.

Notre Dame wraps up the regular season Thursday when it travels to Edwardsville, Illinois, to take on Metro-East Lutheran.
