High school roundup: Meadow Heights girls win road game against Delta

The Meadow Heights girls basketball team took a one-point lead into the fourth quarter and held on for a 48-42 road victory against Delta on Monday.

Heather Dietiker scored 13 points and Jillian Mills had 11 for Meadow Heights (12-5).

Machela VanGennip scored a game-high 15 points for the Bobcats (12-5), but she was the lone Delta player to score in double figures.

Central had four wrestlers place second Saturday at the Liberty Invitational.

Desmond Howard (130), Jawuan Howard (145), Kevin Flesher (171) and Trey Grovenor (HWT) all were runners-up. Caleb Yeargain (125) placed third, while Raymond Woldtvedt (160) finished fifth.

Ozark High School placed first in the team standings.
