Delta pulled away from Greenville to win the championship game Saturday at its New Year's tournament.

The Bobcats (9-1) used a 19-4 scoring spree in the third period en route to a 63-41 victory.

"We switched defenses more in the second half," Delta coach Randy White said. "Our kids playing hard. We're starting to see the floor a little better."

Kaci Menz led the Bobcats with 23 points. Ashley Deprow added 12, and Kayla Seabaugh scored nine.

"Kaci penetrated well with the basketball," White said.

Sophomore Sarah Woodgeard scored 21 points for Greenville.

Delta is the top seed for the Scott-Mississippi Conference tournament this week at Scott City.

Oran won the third-place game by beating St. Vincent 50-34.

Tiffany Glastetter scored 16 points to lead the Eagles.

Chaffee won the consolation bracket with a 55-41 victory over Woodland. Kegan Orr scored 20 points, including two 3-pointers, to lead the Red Devils.
