DENVER -- As improbable as it might sound, Colorado still has a chance at the Big 12 North title.
Bowl eligible after Saturday's wild 38-31 victory against Kansas State, Colorado (6-4) can earn a spot in the Big 12 championship game Dec. 4 with a win over Nebraska in the season finale and a little help.
"This sets us up for all the things we've tried to hang onto," Colorado coach Gary Barnett said. "They're all right there for us. We've got to be playing our best football and we are. This is a team that kept on believing."
At 3-4, the Buffs are tied with Nebraska in second place, a half-game behind Iowa State. The Cyclones play next Saturday at Kansas State, while Colorado and Nebraska get a week off before playing on Nov. 26.
