CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Fralish Cup Tournament held here over the weekend turned into a Southeast Missouri party.

"We had a great tournament," said Central coach Tom Doyle.
Jackson, now 9-4, had earlier Saturday beaten Urbana 2-0 before claiming a marathon 2-1, penalty-kick shootout triumph over host Carbondale.
"We got a little bit of a break because Jackson had such a tough game (against Carbondale)," Doyle said. "But it was a very good (championship) game."

Against Peoria, Lorie Bittle had two goals while Kim Aslinger, Tricia Klipfel and Rebecca Hellrich added one apiece. Klipfel had two assists.

Jackson began Saturday with the win over Urbana as Julie Wunderlich scored both goals.
Then came the grueling game with Carbondale that was tied 1-1 after regulation and 20 minutes of sudden-death overtime. Lacie Hodo scored the Jackson goal.
Jackson made three shootout penalty kicks to one for Carbondale. Jackson shootout goals were by Jessica Schulz, Wunderlich and Carrie Myers. Goalie Dana Littlepage stopped two penalty kicks.
Wunderlich, Schulz and Amanda Beussink of the Lady Indians made the all-tourney squad.
