Reinagel pitched a complete-game seven-hitter.

Whitney Ostendorf's two-run home run gave the Bulldogs (16-3) an early 2-1 lead, and two runs in the third sealed the win.

Jackson 5, Kelly 4

Jackson scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull off a big home win.

The Indians (10-13) rallied from a 4-0 deficit by scoring three runs in the sixth inning and two in the final inning. Jenny Schlick had the game-tying infield single, and Trisha Kluesner scored the game-winning run on a throwing error.

Elizabeth Nussbaum allowed two earned runs in a six-hitter.

Schlick finished 2-for-4 with a double.

CROSS COUNTRY

Oak Ridge Invitational

Saxony Lutheran's first-year varsity program picked up a boys meet title at Oak Ridge.

Trey Maevers was second and Kory Mueller fifth for Saxony, which held an eight-point edge on runnerup Meadow Heights. Joe Hahs of Meadow Heights won the boys race.

Doniphan won the girls meet in a tie-breaker over Oak Ridge. Melinda Schoen of Oak Ridge claimed the individual race win.

Saxony's boys JV also won.

Fredericktown 25-25, Central 17-16

Central dropped to 4-16-7 with a loss at home.

Tasha Valleroy had seven assists and Julie Underwood had seven digs for Central. Chelsey Oliver added five kills.

Fredericktown's JV won 25-19, 25-13.

Leopold 25-25, Oak Ridge 11-11

Wendy Vandeven had 14 assists and Rachel Crader had eight digs to lead the Wildcats to a home victory.

Amber Nenninger and Lori VanderMierden each had seven kills for Leopold (13-3).

Leopold's JV (3-10) won 22-25, 25-20, 25-19.

Advance cruises in opener

Top-seeded Advance eased to a first-round victory in the Stoddard Co. Conference Tournament over Woodland 25-10, 25-12. Dana Williams had 10 kills, Nicole Tropf had eight kills and Nikki Kennedy and Alicia Broshuis had six digs apiece for Advance (17-5).

No. 3 Bell City won its opener against Richland 25-15, 25-16. Katie Niemczyk led the Cubs with 10 digs and added six kills and three aces. Emily Burch had nine kills for Bell City (14-7), and Sarah Metcalf had three kills, three aces and four digs.

JV FOOTBALL

Central 28, Farmington 14

Tyrone Reece threw two touchdowns for unbeaten Central.

Ty Craft and Scott Brueckner caught touchdown passes for the Tigers (3-0).
