Week report: Hulshof, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard, averaged 24.7 points as the Hawks went 3-0 last week. He opened the week with 13 points in a 66-65 win over Bernie, had a 33-point outburst in a 79-68 win over Notre Dame and wrapped up the week with 28 points in a 65-52 victory over Advance. He hit five 3-pointers against Notre Dame and six against Advance.

Season report: Hulsof, last year's leading scorer and a varsity starter since his sophomore year, suffered a stress fracture in his foot in the Hawks' fifth game and missed a month of play. He returned two weeks ago in the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament. He averages 20 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals a game. He's still overcoming the fracture and sprained the ankle on his good leg prior to the Advance game.

Coach's comments: "The (fracture) is healed right now; it's just the area around it has some inflamation. Right now he has lot of guts. He's playing with a lot of pain. . . I thought he was going to have to play (the Advance game) on his knees and he went out and just had a huge night. When they throw it up he just blocks the pain out and plays quality minutes for us. . . He's a very gutty kid. I just hope we can get him healther and healthier every day."
