CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Zelma Marie Wagoner, 87, of Ortonville, Mich., formerly of Chaffee, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at Genesis Hospital in Ortonville.
She was born Aug. 30, 1913, at Puxico, Mo., daughter of Jess and Lula Maddox Steward.
Wagoner had been self-employed in making custom-made drapes. She was a member of General Baptist Church and volunteer at Chaffee Nutrition Center, life member and past worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 342 at Morley, Mo.
Survivors include a son, the Rev. Kermit Patton of Springfield, Mo.; a daughter, Venita Batten of Ortonville; two brothers, Thurman Steward of Clawson, Mich., Murtin Steward of Alger, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Vyron Yount officiating. Burial will be in Rock Hill Cemetery at Puxico.
