Zella Mae Davenport, 89, of Warrenton, Mo., and a former resident of the former Lutesville, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at the Crossroads Regional Hospital in Wentzville, Mo.
She was born Dec. 24, 1913, in Doniphan, Mo., daughter of Loyd and Elsie Brooks Hornbuckle. She married Lonnie McCallie. He preceded her in death. She later married Jess Davenport. He also preceded her in death.
She worked as a nurse's aide and attended the Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include three daughters, Pauline Young, Bonnie J. Ketcherside and Jerri Hastings, all of Warrenton; two brothers, Mike Hornbuckle of Advance, Mo., and W.C. "Pete" Hornbuckle of Glenallen, Mo.; two sisters, Faye Strickland of Dallas, Texas, and Grace Melton of Dexter, Mo.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Cardon officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Ark.
