On Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, Zaelynn "Zae" Deshawn Wiseman, 11, of Maryland Heights, Missouri -- already an angel here on earth -- was given his eternal wings.

Zaelynn was born to Garmeisha Terry and Floyd Wiseman on Feb. 10, 2009, in Cape Girardeau. He was baptized at an early age at New Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. Joseph Cotton. His early childhood was spent between Cape Girardeau and St. Louis. He was a lively and inquisitive child with a thirst for knowledge. He was very talkative and social with almost everyone.

Zaelynn received most of his education in the Parkway School District, where he graduated from McKelvey Elementary School, and was a sixth-grader at Parkway Northeast Middle School in Creve Coeur, Missouri. In school his favorite subject was math, and he was known as a spirited and loving classmate.

Zaelynn loved dinosaurs and had aspirations of becoming a paleontologist. He had an appreciation for Asian culture and learned to speak Cantonese at an early age. He also mastered using chopsticks and loved sushi.
