Yvonne Jeanne Barnhart, 57, 124 Parkwood, died Monday, April 10, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born July 3, 1937, at Whitewater, daughter of George Lewis and Myrtle Irene Jackson Ventres. She and Samuel Barnhart were married May 1, 1953, in Cape Girardeau.
Barnhart was employed by Division of Family Services in the Energy Assistance program, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Iona Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Samuel Barnhart of McClure, Ill.; three daughters, Pamela Chia of DesMoines, Iowa, Wendy Barnhart of Cape Girardeau, Elizabeth Correia of Savannah, Ga.; two brothers, Vince Ventres of state of California, George Ventres of state of Texas; three sisters, Virginia Baker of state of California, Bernetha McCann of Springfield, Naomi Akers of state of Louisiana, and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with Thomas Morris officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
