Yvonne Clark, 63, of Jackson died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at her home.

She was born Aug. 7, 1951, in Atlanta to the late Will and Orpah Ferrell Dowdy.

She worked for the National Imagery and Mapping Agency with the United States government, retiring after 34 years of service, and was a member of the United States Army Reserves.

On March 14, 1981, she married Elder Henry L. Clark in Atlanta; he survives of Jackson.

She was the First Lady at Joyful Praise Ministries in Cape Girardeau, where her husband is the pastor. She also served as assistant district missionary and state Sunday school field representative.

In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Rodney (Tomekia) Echols of Macon, Georgia; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

One son, Steven Dowdy, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greater Dimensions Church in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at the church, with Bishop Lawrence M. Wooten officiating.

Interment will be Tuesday at Monte Vista Biblical Gardens in Atlanta.

Local arrangements are being handled by Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri.
