YVETTA REED

Yvetta Opal Reed, 92, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, March 21, 1996, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born March 23, 1903, at Sturdivant, daughter of William Edward and Ora Lodemia Jones Hunt. She and Frank Edward Reed were married Aug. 15, 1920, at Sturdivant. He died Nov. 23, 1971.

Reed was employed at International Shoe Co. 28 years. She was a member of Red Star Baptist Church and its Ever Ready Sunday School Class.

Survivors include two sons, Alan Reed of St. Louis, Roberto Reed of Dutchtown; five daughters, Kathryn Hett of Mesa, Ariz., Dixie Dunning of St. Louis, Norma Keller of Scott City, Betty Chapman and Frankie Clippard of Cape Girardeau; five sisters, Ilene Owens and Sara Glaser of St. Louis, Bernice Foulk of Yount, Jean Schrumpf of Perryville, Marion Bungle of Pahrump, Nev.; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
