EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- W.P. Wilson, 66, of East Prairie died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born July 17, 1937, at Ridgely, Tenn., son of William and Mary Belle Moore Wilson. He and Dorothy Lee Faire were married in Feb. 1983.

Wilson was a self-employed plumber for 35 years. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in East Prairie.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Kevin Dwayne Wilson and Richard Gordon Adams of East Prairie, William Anthony Adams of Licking; three daughters, Joy Carol Gower of Bowling Green, Ky., Gloria Jean Johnson of Benton, Ky., and Carla Sue Aters of East Prairie; two sisters, Cora Ann Morgan of East Prairie and Louise Razor of Charleston; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dale Billingsly will officiate, with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
