Graveside service for W.J. "Pete" Parkman of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating.
Watkins and Sons Funeral Home at Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
Parkman, 65, died Monday, June 26, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born June 7, 1930, in Essex, son of Thomas Jefferson and Era Lee Westbrook Parkman. He and Bennie Godwin were married June 6, 1965, at Parma. She died March 27, 1975.
Parkman had lived in Parma and Bernie many years. He had worked at Ramsey Hardware in Parma and XL Manufacturing in Bernie. He moved to Cape Girardeau 10 years ago and was employed at VIP Industries. He was a member of the General Baptist Church in Parma. He served 12 years in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include a brother, Thomas Parkman of Love Park, Ill., and a sister, Fleeta Jones of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
