BENTON -- Winnie A. Eddy, 78, of Benton died Saturday, July 15, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born April 26, 1917, at Lamar, Ark., daughter of Willie Lee and Jennie Seiler Crowden. She and Roy Hunter were married in 1933. He preceded her in death in February 1936. She married William O. Eddy on March 13, 1964, at LaForge. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1988...

BENTON -- Winnie A. Eddy, 78, of Benton died Saturday, July 15, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born April 26, 1917, at Lamar, Ark., daughter of Willie Lee and Jennie Seiler Crowden. She and Roy Hunter were married in 1933. He preceded her in death in February 1936. She married William O. Eddy on March 13, 1964, at LaForge. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1988.

Survivors include six sons, C.W. Hunter of Freeport, Mich., J.R. Johnson of Benton, Ill., Robert Johnson of Marquette, Mich., James Johnson of Dothan, Ala., Henry Johnson of Philadelphia, Pa., and Stephen Johnson of Elma, Wash.; a stepson, Sonny Eddy of LaForge; two daughters, Clara McKnight of Benton and Ola Dean Schultz of Middleville, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Marilyn Coe of Delano, Tenn., and Ann Lowman of Bossier City, La.; three brothers, W.L. Crowden of Sikeston, and W. H. and Edward Crowden, both of Jackson, Mich.; two sisters, Mary Ferguson of Butler and Mattie Cochran of Puxico; 64 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Robert Burnes will officiate, and burial will be at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
