JACKSON -- -- Winifred Evans, 80, of Dexter died Sunday, July 20, 1997, at the Jackson Manor in Jackson.
She was born Jan. 17, 1917, in Bloomfield, the daughter of George and Cora Stewart Bryant. On June 10, 1936, she married Herbert Evans in Bloomfield. He died March 8, 1991.
She was a retired teller at Citizens Bank in Dexter. She belonged to the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 311 and the Rebecca Lodge.
She belonged to the First United Methodist Church in Dexter.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne Beard of Jackson and Karen Francis-Leurk of Clearwater, Fla.; two sisters, Melba Hester of Dexter and Thelma Evans of Sikeston; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at funeral home. Burial will be in the Dexter Cemetery.
