OAK RIDGE -- Wilson Moore, 81, of Oak Ridge died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Nov. 19, 1916, at Oak Ridge to Edward and Eula Lape Moore.
On Oct. 19, 1935, at Jackson, he married Hazel Self, who survives.
He had worked for McDonnell Douglas, International Shoe and Ford Motor Co. in St. Louis before retiring in 1978 and returning to Oak Ridge.
He was a member of Christ Gospel Church of Millersville.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Kelly Moore of Dittmer, David Moore of Bradyville, Tenn., and Curt Moore of Florissant; three daughters, Dorothy Couch of Kirkwood, Velva May Couch of Bossier City, La., and Viola Robinson of Hermitage; three brothers, Earliss Moore of Kansas and Ervin and Leroy Moore, both of Oak Ridge; a sister, Bessie Ruppel of Cape Girardeau; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. A brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel. Services are Tuesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. George R. Newell officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.
