WILPERT BOHNERT

LONGTOWN, Mo. -- Wilpert J. "Wib" Bohnert, 92, of Longtown died Monday, March 19, 2001, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville, Mo.

He was born Sept. 21, 1908, at Longtown, son of John Ferd and Matilda Marie Weinrich Bohnert. He and Wilma Marie Puntmann were married Nov. 6, 1938.

Bohnert retired as a truck driver with Livestock and Feed. He also owned and operated Wayne Feed Store. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a former elder.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronald Bohnert of Perryville; a daughter, Nancy Berkbuegler of Biehle, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 1-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-8 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Church, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
