Wilma Sweitzer JONESBORO, Ill. -- Wilma Joan Sweitzer, 66, of Jonesboro died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Ill. JONESBORO, Ill. -- Wilma Joan Sweitzer, 66, of Jonesboro died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Ill.

She was born July 11, 1942, in Alto Pass, Ill., daughter of Norman G. and Opal E. Martin Hickam.

Sweitzer worked her entire nursing career as an LPN at Jackson County Rehab Center. She was a member of the VFW Post No. 3455 Ladies Auxiliary in Anna, Ill.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Ann Rendleman, Angela Renee Kelley and Victoria Joan Wright, all of Jonesboro; her father and stepmother, Norman G. and Betty Hickam of Jonesboro; two brothers, George Jeffery and Jack Hickam, both of Jonesboro; two sisters, Judith Dian Hickam Juliana Maria Hickam, both of Anna; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a daughter.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Bittle officiating.

Interment will be in Alto Pass Cemetery.
