A private funeral was held for Wilma L. Revelle, 84, of Pekin.
Revelle died Tuesday, May 9, 2000 at Pekin Manor.
Born March 16, 1916, near Whitewater, she was the daughter of George B. and Annie McCormick Kinder. She attended school at Drum, Mo.
On June 16, 1932, she married Russell T. "Shorty" Revelle in Dongola. He died Nov. 24, 1991, in Pekin.
She worked as a housekeeper for Fredman Brothers Furniture Co. in Pekin during the late 1960s.
Revelle is survived by two daughters, Wanda Watson of Topeka, Kan., and Joyce Towery of Pekin; three sisters, Mary Hahn and Jewel Ross, both of Chaffee and Margaret Birkman of Advance; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.
The Rev. Wayne Kinder officiated at the funeral. She was buried at Lakeside Cemetery. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
