CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Wilma A. McGuire, 89, of Chaffee died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 8, 1924, in Chaffee, daughter of Clinton and Marcella Scherer Littlepage. She married Charlie "Mac" McGuire, who preceded her in death Sept. 1, 1967.
Wilma retired from Chaffee General Hospital as a ward clerk. She had a passion for sewing and hand quilting. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and Ladies VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald McGuire of Puxico, Mo., and Richard and Mark McGuire of Chaffee; a daughter, Paula K. White of Perryville, Mo.; a brother, Paul Ray Littlepage of Chicago; two sisters, Alma Schlitt of Oran, Mo., and Clifta (Tip) Cartwright of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother, C.J. "Sonny" Littlepage; two sisters, Rosemary Fussell and Anna "Midge" Wortham; a grandson, Robert Fann; a great-granddaughter, Kaile Elizabeth Hall; and a stepgrandchild, Angela Kennedy.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
