MOUNDS, Ill. -- Wilma K. Kessler, 93, formerly of Mounds, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at NHC Healthcare Nursing Home in St. Charles, Mo.

She was born July 31, 1908, in Villa Ridge, Ill., daughter of William B. and Carrie Mae Wilkinson Kennedy. She married Joseph Kessler, who died in 1959.

Kessler was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mounds.

Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Nanney of Chesterfield, Mo.; a son, James Kessler Jr. of Edwardsville, Ill.; two sisters, Jennie Kennedy and Louise Kennedy of St. Charles; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

Graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge. The Rev. Jerry Herring will officiate.

Crain Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
