Wilma Bernice Hyslop, 82, departed this life Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
The daughter of the late Walter Alexander and Allie Belle Davenport Summers, Wilma was born Feb. 14, 1933, in Dexter, Missouri. On Nov. 22, 1947, she was united in marriage to Robert Eugene Hyslop in Dexter. He preceded her in death Nov. 27, 1993.
Mrs. Hyslop was a member of the Risen Church in Dexter and a resident of Dexter. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, Roger L. Hyslop and wife Vicky of Jackson and Kevin E. Hyslop and wife Rosemary of Houston; five grandchildren, Caitlin (Adam) Dillingham, Alyssa (Brandon) Lohmeier, Sean Hyslop, Brandon (Molly) Hyslop and Michael Vasquez; two great-grandchildren, Corbin Dillingham and Harper Dillingham; and many relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Luther Ferrell Summers and Albert Carman Summers; and five sisters, Jewell Lee Summers, Lottie Fern Johnson, Bessie Naomi Dudek, Dorothy Mae Sneed and Alfreda Reed.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steve Tippen officiating.
