PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Wilma E. Hadler, 96, of Perryville died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born Feb. 26, 1913, in Farrar, Mo., daughter of Herman and Marie Koenig Verseman. She and Arthur J. Hadler were married May 31, 1936. He preceded her in death March 1, 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Wallace (Evelyn) Hadler of Campbell Hill, Ill., Curtis (Charlotte) Hadler of Perryville; three daughters, Joyce (Robert) Hemmann of Cape Girardeau, Donna (James) Stabile of St. Louis, Goldie (Ron) Bock of Naperville, Ill.; and a sister-in-law, Erna Schuessler of Perryville.
Also 11 grandchildren, Sherry (Terry) Hadler, Gary (Elizabeth) Hadler, Wendy (Barry) Sommers, Lisa (ReFaat) Mefrakis, Laura (Chris) Goodson, Mark (Darla) Hemmann, Kristine (Thomas) Vanek, Paul and John Stabile, Michael and Christopher Bock; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Rosa Steffens and Flora Hadler; two brothers, Edgar and Wilbert Verseman; and a great-grandchild, Braden Sommers.
Hadler was a homemaker and lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, Ladies Aid and Salem Silent Servants.
Memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran School.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 6:30 to 8 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, with the Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
