SIKESTON, Mo. -- Wilma Catherine Grojean, 78, of Sikeston died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Sept. 23, 1927, at Benton, Mo., daughter of Andrew and Agnes Welter LeGrand.
She and Theon Francis Grojean were married Jan. 20, 1945, in Houston, Texas. He died Oct. 1, 2002.
Grojean was a member of St. Frances Xavier Church in Sikeston and served on the Altar Sodality.
Survivors include four sons, Ron Grojean of Cape Girardeau, Bob Grojean of Sikeston, Theon Grojean Jr. of Atlanta, Gary Grojean of Blue Springs, Mo.; four daughters, Marilyn Schwaninger of Sikeston, Suzi Bach of Memphis, Tenn., Jeanne Burke of Charleston, Mo., Kathy Love of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Maurice LeGrand of Houston; two sisters, Mildred LeGrand of Benton, Geraldine Douglas of Dallas; a special friend, Carl Cokenour of Sikeston; 22 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Church, with the Rev. Scott Sunnenberg and Monsignor Richard Rolwing officiating.
Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery at New Hamburg, Mo.
