Wilma L. Grimme, 89, of Cape Girardeau passed away peacefully Monday, July 14, 2014, to be with her Lord Jesus and all her relatives and friends who went before her.

She was born July 1, 1925, in Hoxie, Arkansas, to Earl and Anna Louise Gilkerson. She and Paul W. Grimme were married in April 1941 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Wilma was a loving wife and mother to her son, James Rodney Grimme, and daughter, Paula Ann Grimme. She was a Sunday school teacher at Southside Baptist Church and a loyal member at Lynwood Baptist Church, both in Cape Girardeau, until illness prevented her from attending regularly. She had many friends in both churches.

Her husband was in the military and the family traveled to many states and to Germany twice.
