PERRYVILLE -- Wilma E. Ank, 87, of Perryville died Monday, Dec. 7, 1992, at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis.
She was born Nov. 4, 1905 in New Orleans, daughter of John and Elizabeth Lee Edgecombe.
She married George Terry Ank on July 2, 1927. He died on Aug. 6, 1953.
Surviving are one son, Terry Lee Ank of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Thelma Faszholz of Berwyn, Ill., and Ruth Ward of Pacific, Mo.; one brother, Elmore Edgecombe of Buras, La.; two sisters, Alva Sanchez of Gretna, La., and Edna Moothart of Whittier, Calif.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Two brothers, one sister and one grandson preceded her in death.
She worked for International Shoe Co. in Perryville for 20 years. She subsequently worked as an LPN at Perry County Memorial Hospital for 20 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Perryville, Chapter 46 of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Order of the Amaranth. She was also member and past president of the American Legion Post 133 Auxiliary in Perryville.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville from 3:30-9 p.m. today, and from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Perryville with the Rev. Ed Hankinson officiating. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery in Perryville.
