BURFORDVILLE -- Wilma L. Davenport, 82, formerly of Burfordville, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at Cordova Rehab and Nursing Center in Cordova, Tenn.
She was born May 18, 1917, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Luther and Carrie Chenoweth Andrews. She married Carl Davenport Dec. 24, 1954. He died March 19, 1996.
The Davenports farmed in the Burfordville community 34 years. They moved to St. Louis in 1988. She had lived in Tennessee since 1994. She was a member of Burfordville Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Davenport of Lakeland, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Morris Cobb officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
