WILMA DALTON

CHARLESTON -- Funeral for Wilma E. Dalton of Charleston will be held at 1 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Gerald Brown will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.

Dalton, 78, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at Bertrand Nursing Facility.

She was born March 25, 1921, in the Deventer community of Mississippi County, daughter of E.E. and Earlie Edmondson French. She and Brig. Gen. O.T. Dalton Jr. were married Nov. 2, 1946. He died Dec. 12, 1984.

Dalton lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Dalton of Farmington; a daughter, Cheryl Kretschmer of Tonopah, Nev.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
