DEXTER -- Funeral service for Wilma Dean Nichols of Dexter will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. Charles Tennison will officiate, with burial in Pulliam Cemetery.
Nichols, 58, died Monday, Dec. 7, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 27, 1934, in Bollinger County, daughter of Lyman and Eula James Cook. She and William Nichols were married Nov. 25, 1974.
Survivors include her husband; six sons, Carl Welker of Cabool, Gary Cook of South Carolina, Frankie, Rickie and Donald Welker of Lutesville, Leon Welker of Dexter; three daughters, Kathy Southerland of Glen Allen, Kathryn Bollinger of Sedgewickville, Evonne Bailey of Bollinger County; her parents of Jackson; two brothers, Ardell Cook of Cabool, Ronnie Cook of Jackson; two sisters, Bonnie Felker of Kennett, Geraldine Stepp of Lutesville; 20 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son.
