Wilma Brady, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 10, 1997, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born Aug. 5, 1917, at Flat River, daughter of Shelby David and Gertrude Wigger Aubuchon. She and James F. Brady were married Aug. 1, 1941, in Shreveport, La. He died Feb. 27, 1995.

Brady attended William Jewell College, and received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University.

She was a volunteer at the Teen Challenge Thrift Shop and with Southeast Missouri Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Thurman of Santa Fe, N.M., Carol Rose of Prairie Village, Kan.; a brother, Robert Aubuchon of Jackson; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

There is no visitation.

Funeral service and entombment will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Park Mausoleum, with Dr. John Owen officiating.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
