MAYFIELD, Ky. -- Wilma Pearl Baker, 80, of Mayfield died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
She was born Oct. 15, 1924, in Graves County, Ky., daughter of James and Vera Grant McManus. She first married Vernice Holmes, who preceded her in death. She later married Nolvice Baker, who also preceded her in death.
Baker was a retired nurse from the former Mayfield Hospital, where she worked 14 years. She was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Hill of East Cape Girardeau, Ill., Donna Womack of Mayfield, Brenda Heath of Cadiz, Ky.; a son, Garland Holmes of Cape Girardeau; a brother, James McManus of Mayfield; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, three sisters and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield from 5 to 8:30 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Heath officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
