SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Willis E. Gowins II of Huntsville, Ala., will be held at 10 a.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. William Dickey will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery.

Gowins, 31, formerly of Scott City, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 1995, at his home.

He was born July 29, 1964, at Rolla, son of Gene Elmer and Pearl Beatrice Martin Gowins.

He was employed as a carpet layer.

Survivors include his father of Bonita Springs, Fla.; his mother of Scott City; a sister, Lee Ann McDaniel of Romeo, Mich., and maternal grandfather, Ed Martin of Scott City.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
