SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Visitation for Willie Mae Vasquez, 57, of Scott City, Mo., will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating.
Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce, Mo.
Vasquez died Wednesday, July 26, 2000.
She was born March 29, 1943, in Jones Prairie, Texas, daughter of Johnny and Christine Smith Lopez and had been married to Gilbert Vasquez.
She has lived in Scott City six years, moving to the area from Wild Peach, Texas. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her mother, Christine Lopez of College Station, Texas; two sons, Bobby Joe and Allen Vasquez, both of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Susan Steel of Commerce, Kathy Childress, Carolyn Thomas and Nancy Resendez, all of Houston, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and a son.
