BELL CITY -- Funeral service for Willie Levi Stanberry of Chicago, Ill., will be held at 4 p.m. today at Bell City Church of God in Christ. Elder David Pullen will officiate, with burial in J.C. Pullen Memorial Garden.
Friends may call at the church from 2 p.m. to service time.
Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
Stanberry, 69, was found dead at his home Monday, July 11, 1994.
He was born Dec. 14, 1924, in Greenwood, Miss., son of Allen Levi and Elnora Bryant Stanberry.
Stanberry moved to Missouri in 1938, and was formerly of Bell City. He moved to Chicago in 1945, where he was a drycleaner.
Survivors include two sons, Allen Stanberry of Chicago, Carl Stanberry of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two brothers, Joseph Stanberry of Sikeston, Clarence Bryant of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Corrine Patterson of Chicago, and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
