WILLIE BADGETT

BERTRAND -- Funeral for Willie Frances Badgett of Bertrand will be held at 1 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Ted Wimberly will officiate, with burial in Maynard Cemetery near Diehlstadt.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until service time.

Badgett, 88, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, at Bertrand Retirement Facility.

She was born July 27, 1910, in Mississippi County, daughter of Lon and Dora Simmons Bullard. She and Edd Wesley Badgett were married Aug. 6, 1927. He died Aug. 30, 1996.

Badgett lived in Scott and Mississippi counties all her life. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston.

Survivors include a daughter, Gerry Hall of East Prairie; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
