CAIRO, Ill. -- Willie B. Love Jr., 51, of Cairo died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, in New Madrid County, Mo., of injuries sustained in a car accident.
He was born Sept. 14, 1957, in Greenwood, Miss., son of Willie B. Love Sr. and Lubirder Mabry.
Love was a member of the Clay Memorial Church of God in Christ in Grand Chain, Ill,, where he served as an usher and worked with the finance department. He was employed as an electrician and handyman; he also remodeled and restored homes.
Survivors include a daughter, Candance Love; a son, Willie B. Love III of St. Louis; three sisters, Earlene Love of Detroit, Shirlene Young and Willie Mae Watkins of Cairo; a special friend, Pamela Brooks; and a grandchild.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Christ Temple Church of God in Christ in Cairo. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the church, with David Watkins and Terry Holder officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Memorial Park in Mounds, Ill.
