BENTON, Mo. -- William "Bill" Worley, 73, of Benton, Mo., died Friday, June 3, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Dec. 12, 1937, to the late Ed and Mabel Davis Worley. He and Juda McAfee were married Sept. 28, 1978, and she survives.
Worley retired as a painter and insulator at Westvaco Paper Mill in Wickcliff, Ky.
Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Robin Worley of St. Louis, Terri (David) Ball of West Plains, Mo., Jeanneane (Bob) Palczewski of Bloomingdale, Ill., Diana (Randy) Kitchens of Salem Ky., Janie (Chad) Madding of Kevil, Ky. and Susan (Howard) Marshall of St. Louis; a son Steve Worley of Kevil, Ky.; four brothers, Bob Worley of St. Mary, Mo., Pat Worley of Festus, Mo., Mike Worley of St. Mary, Mo., and Tom Worley of Farmington, Mo.; three sisters, Rosemary Brewster of St. Mary, Delores Lohman of St. Charles, Mo., and Ruth Joyce of Cape Girardeau; as well as 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was a member at New Savannah Baptist Church in Blodgett. Mo., where he taught Wednesday night Bible study.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton with the Rev. Kenny Bollinger officiating.
