ADVANCE, Mo. -- William P. Welker, 67, of Advance passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, at his home.
He was born May 11, 1942, at Advance, son of Elbert and Iva Mae Welker. William and Norma Jean Martin were united in marriage March 12, 1962, at Bloomfield, Mo.
William was a self-employed carpenter.
He was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Teresa (Mark) Allison of Advance, Polly (Brett) Reutzel of Fredericktown, Mo., Jetty (Terry) Hill of Jackson; a brother, Harold "Doc" Welker of Brownwood, Mo.; two sisters, Janet Welty and Velma Welker of Brownwood; six grandchildren, Kalie Allison, Micah and Brittany Reutzel, Brandon, Brian and Lexi Hill; and two great-grandchildren, P.J. and Tucker Reutzel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James and Melburn Welker.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
