William Dempsey Walters, 60, of Dutchtown died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 10, 1956, in East Prairie, Missouri. He and Carol Earls were married Feb. 4, 1978, at De Soto, Missouri.
William was an Eagle Scout and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was an installer of HVAC systems, and he enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Walters of Dutchtown; two daughters, Bobbie-Jo Lykins of California and Rose Marie Russell of Bridgend, Wales, United Kingdom; two sons, William Benjamin Walters of Tennessee and William Montgomery Walters of Dutchtown; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Elder Earl Norman officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Ford and Sons Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
