CHARLESTON -- William Wayne Downs, 42, of Memphis, Tenn., died Saturday, May 15, 1993, at his home.
He was born March 5, 1951, at Cairo, Ill., son of Willis and Joan Frazier Downs.
He lived in Memphis, Tenn., for the past 25 years, where he worked as a counselor with the Division of Police Psychological Services. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Charleston.
Survivors include his parents of Charleston; a brother, Willis McCracken Downs of Cape Girardeau; a niece, Kimberly Ann Downs of Cape Girardeau; and a nephew, Tyler McCracken Downs of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis, Tenn., where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Friends may call at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Richard Combs officiating.
Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston.
