HIGHLAND, Ill. -- William T. "Bill" Trout, 92, of Highland, formerly of East Cape Girardeau, Illinois, died at 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at Highland Health Care Center. He was born Jan. 2, 1929, in Holcomb, Missouri, to Raymond and Mamie Agnes Meyers Trout. He married Susan "Sue Ann" Bess on July 8, 1949. She preceded him in death Jan. 2, 2021...

HIGHLAND, Ill. -- William T. "Bill" Trout, 92, of Highland, formerly of East Cape Girardeau, Illinois, died at 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at Highland Health Care Center.

He was born Jan. 2, 1929, in Holcomb, Missouri, to Raymond and Mamie Agnes Meyers Trout. He married Susan "Sue Ann" Bess on July 8, 1949. She preceded him in death Jan. 2, 2021.

Bill worked as a bus driver and custodian at Egyptian School in Tamms, Illinois.

He is survived by sons, William Van (Debra) Trout of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Wayne (Sherry) Trout of Fetus, Missouri; daughters, Marcie Lipe of Imperial, Missouri, and Arlene Heath of Granite City, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Brenda Davis, Linda Hardin and Carolyn Thorn; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons-in-law, Mike Lipe and Jim Heath; four sisters, Jean Mayberry, Mavis Wilson, Mildred Austin and Erma Lee Trout; and two brothers, Vernon Ray and Wiley Trout.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service for William T. "Bill" Trout will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with his grandsons, the Revs. Dennis Heath and David Trout, officiating. Interment will follow in Lindsey Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Wabash Valley Teen Challenge, 1340 Chestnut St., Terre Haute, IN 47807.
