FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- William Edward Thompson, 87, of Fredericktown died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at the Claru Deville Nursing Home in Fredericktown.
He was born April 28, 1920, at St. Louis, son of LeRoy and Ellen Thompson. He and Ida Agnes Masters were married Aug. 1, 1968.
Thompson retired as a pattern maker, tooling for foundries in Detroit. He was a member of the NRA and the Old Union Church.
Survivors include his wife of Fredericktown; a daughter, Cheryl Sitze of Marble Hill, Mo.; a sister; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Danny James officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery near Marble Hill.
