William Thomas Chapman, 81, of Anderson, S.C., died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1996, at his residence.
He was born June 7, 1915, in Elbert County, Ga., the son of the late James and Leona Chapman Booth Abercrombie. He married Frances Sanders Chapman in Anderson, who survives him.
He was the retired owner of Tom Chapman Tire Service, a member of the Kiwanis Golden K Club and the Baraca Class of the First Baptist Church in Anderson.
He is survived by four sons, Richard Chapman, of Nashville, William and David Chapman, both of Anderson, and Stephen Chapman, of Cape Girardeau; one brother, James Chapman Sr., of Anderson; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 p.m. Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home in Anderson with Dr. Jim Thomason officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.
